27 turns - Grossglockner Tour

From Kaprun to Heiligenblut and back

Vötter’s motorcycle tours through Salzburg

We start at Vötter’s in Kaprun and take the old Kapruner Strasse towards Bruck an der Glocknerstrasse. Drawn-out bends lead the way to Fusch on a gentle incline to the Grossglockner tollgate Ferleiten with its well-known wildlife park. A brief stop certainly pays off – perhaps a little refreshment before conquering the mountain.

After the toll booth (pick up your discounted biker toll tickets at reception) we ride toward the Fuscher Törl to the Edelweissspitze at 2,572 m; there is a panorama terrace and our first glance at the Alps (don’t forget to take a picture!). Things really kick off now:

The next stop is the Kaiser Franz Josefs Höhe at 2,369 m, offering the first opportunity to sneak a peek at the imposing Grossglockner. The famous Bikers Point is another highlight along Austria’s most beautiful tour. You absolutely have to stop here to enjoy the 27 turns already covered and the view.

Now we take the delightfully winding road downhill towards the well-known pilgrimage site of Heiligenblut. Now we face a decision – take the 27 turns back towards Bruck – Zell am See – Kaprun or continue to Lienz via the Felbertauern Road (and through the Felbertauern tunnel – be aware of the combined toll tariff) to Mittersill – Uttendorf – Niedernsill – Kaprun.

Returning home after such a dream tour is a special experience, and the day should be capped off with a drink at the bikers’ table or on the terrace.

We lay mountains between
you and your everyday life.
