Vötter’s motorcycle tours through Salzburg
We start at Vötter’s in Kaprun and drive over the old Kapruner Straße in the direction of Bruck a. d. Glocknerstraße. On long drawn curves we head towards Fusch, a slight incline up to the Grossglockner toll station Ferleiten with its well-known wildlife park. A short stay is definitely worthwhile – perhaps a short refreshment before the mountain conquering.
After the toll booth (reduced biker toll cards you get at the reception) we drive towards Fuscher Törl to the Edelweissspitze at 2,572 m with a viewing terrace and the first view of our Alps (don’t forget the photo!). After this enjoyment, it really starts:
The next stop is the Kaiser-Franz-Josefs-height at an altitude of 2,369 m – from there you have the first opportunity to take a look at the imposing Grossglockner. The well-known Bikers Point is another highlight on the most beautiful tour in Austria. A short stop is an absolute must to enjoy the already 27 bends and the view.
Now we drive down the wonderfully winding road towards Heiligenblut – the edged place of pilgrimage. Now we are faced with the decision to go back to the 27 bends towards Bruck – Zell am See – Kaprun – or further towards Lienz – via the Felbertauernstraße (and through the Felbertauerntunnel – Attention there is a combined toll) to Mittersill – Uttendorf – Niedernsill – Kaprun.
After such a dream tour, the homecoming is especially nice and the day should end with a glass at the regular table or on the terrace.
