  • For our guests who come to us by car – our travel recommendation for you

From Germany, it is best to take the Munich – Salzburg motorway, leave siegsdorf, through Saalfelden and finally through the Zell bypass tunnel, which leads you directly to Kaprun. From Switzerland, the best way to take the Inntal motorway is to leave at Wörgl in the direction of Felbertauern, then the wörgl – Kitzbühel – Saalfelden – Zell am See – Kaprun route.

From Italy and Slovenia, it is best to take the A1 in the direction of Salzburg, take the A1 at Bischofshofen in the direction of Zell am See. After about 45 km you will come to Kaprun. From the Czech Republic, it is best to take the A1 from Vienna towards Salzburg, leave at Bischofshofen in the direction of Zell am See. After about 45 km you reach Kaprun.

  • For our motorcycle friends – your best way into your bike holiday

The shortest route is not always the most beautiful for motorcyclists! Take a little time for the journey, it’s worth it!
Coming from Germany (and the West) our guests are very happy to choose the route over the Achen Pass and the Gerlos Pass.
If there is time left on the way, it is worth a detour to the Zillertaler Höhenstraße or to the Krimml waterfalls.

For the journey from the east we recommend the route via the Filzensattel/Hochkönig as the first tours highlight on your way to us.

All those who arrive from the south can immediately access the highlight of our region, the Grossglockner High Alpine Road in
start the bike holiday.

For long stages from the north, travelling by car & motorbike train can also be a tyre-gentle and, above all, comfortable option.
An overview of the current train connections can be found here.

How to get to Kaprun
