The ski resorts
Fun on the slopes and snowboard fun all year round: The Kitzsteinhorn glacier ski area extends up to 3,029 metres above sea level and gives you a full snow guarantee all year round. Varied routes for freeriders, three snow parks and Austria’s largest freestyler superpipe make the offer at Kitzsteinhorn unique. NEW since December 2018: Directly from Kaprun with two new cable cars to the Maiskogel and from there quickly and comfortably to the Langwiedboden to the Glacier Ski Area Kitzsteinhorn. This means: ski-in-ski-out, 100 snow security from October to spring and a wide range of new options on offer – invaluable advantages that further strengthen the importance of Zell am See-Kaprun as a top destination in the Alps.
The panorama and family ski area Schmittenhöhe is hard to beat in winter in its versatility. Beginners are looking forward to family slopes, experts “carven” about “standard” and “trass” and experience great skiing. In between there are cosy huts, sunny terraces and a lot of good mood. In addition to three entry-level opportunities in Zell am See, the Schmittenhöhe also offers a new valley station in the Glemmtal. Via the natural snow slope from the Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn, you can take the zellamseeXpress directly to the schmittenhöhe ski area. Here you can expect a dream panorama on up to 30 three-thousand-metre peaks of the Hohe Tauern.
Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn
With the Ski ALPIN CARD, the Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn can also be explored. The best way to go with the zellamseeXpress to the valley is to take you to the valley and then, after a short bus ride, you will be in the Home of Lässig. The perfectly groomed slopes, the snow-covered freeride slopes and the manifold apres ski possibilities offer unforgettable holiday moments for both beginners and experienced skiers.
