What we are already looking forward to in the coming season!

We are celebrating 15 years of Mo-Ho membership at Vötter’s this year! We are very pleased to have always been able to offer our guests an unforgettable experience as the only 4 star hotel in the province of Salzburg with the Mo-Ho award 4 helmets. Therefore, this year we are especially looking forward to the upcoming motorcycle season. Have you already taken your bikes out of the garage? We’ll give you a few tips on what to look out for:

The most important to-dos for the start of the season

• Battery check. If the battery was installed during the winter break, remember that the motorcycle may need a jump start. It is best to connect the battery to a charger. If the battery was removed, the poles should be preserved with a special battery polish after connection. This protects the bare spots from corrosion.
• Engine oil: Be sure to check the engine oil level before the first trip.
• Fluid levels: check coolant, brake fluid and hydraulic fluid.
• Electrical system: Test the lighting system, turn signals, brake lights and horn for proper functioning. Fix any defects such as broken lights before the first ride.
• Tires: Check air pressure and general condition of tires. The tread depth for motorcycle tires must be at least 1.6 millimeters.
• Test hand and foot brake: The brakes should work properly in any case. It is best to replace the brake pads regularly.
• Check chain and chain tension: After cleaning, check the tension of the chain to the rear wheel. If one of the sprockets is worn or the chain can be lifted too far from the sprocket, the entire drive set should always be replaced.

If you want to screw something you can do this in our screwdriver corner with tools, lubricant and detergent. Should you get caught in a short downpour despite the view of dream weather, you can dry your biker gear again in our drying room until the next day.

Tour tips from our Insights like Günther, a longtime friend of the house, you get first hand – for example at one of our regular guest evenings. Karin, your host, is also an enthusiastic motorcyclist and can give you one or two insider tips. Just ask!
